Checklist: your home photo-ready

Make a fresh impression: vacuum and wipe down surfaces.

Put away loose items such as remote controls, magazines and toys.

Show as much of the floor surface as possible.

Limit the coats on the coat rack to three at most, preferably light-coloured.

Remove personal items and family photos.

Open the curtains, raise the roller shutters and close all windows and doors.

Keep windowsills as empty as possible.

Remove doormats, rugs and cables from view.

Keep pets out of the picture and put their accessories away for now.
